What never uses credits

Manual editing, visual edit, colors, fonts, pages, publishing, domains, inbox, chatbot, and analytics are always free to use.

When you run low

Build shows a reminder before you run out. Upgrade your plan or pick a bigger credit package from Pricing, changes are prorated so you only pay the difference.

Generate a website with a prompt

One sentence is enough to create a complete website.

How it works

Build reads your description, understands the industry, and creates the structure, copywriting, colors, and images that fit it. A med spa gets a calm premium look, a barbershop gets a bold masculine one.

Include these details

• What you do: "barbershop", "dental clinic", "makeup brand"
• Where: city or country helps the copy feel local
• Key services: 2 or 4 main things you sell
• Style: "dark and premium", "clean and minimal", "warm and friendly"

Build applies the change directly to your website. Use undo in the top bar if you prefer the previous version.

Visual edit

Click anything on your website and change it directly.

Turn it on

Click the eye button next to the Ask Build box. Your preview becomes clickable.

What you can do

• Text: click and type directly into any headline or paragraph
• Images: click an image, then replace it from your computer or generate a new one with AI
• Header links: click a menu link to change its label and where it goes (a section, a page, a phone number, or an external URL)
• Logo: click your logo to upload a new one and resize it
• Sections: click a section to add a new one after it or remove it

Sections and layouts

Websites are made of sections. Add, replace, and remove them freely.

Add from the Layouts tab

Open the Layouts tool tab, pick a category (Hero, Features, Testimonials, Team, FAQ, Contact and more), choose a design you like, then click Use Layout. The section adopts your colors and fonts automatically.

Add with AI

Select a section in visual edit and click Add, or simply ask Build: "add a testimonials section after the services". Build designs it to match your website style.

Remove

Select the section in visual edit and click Remove. Save afterwards.

Colors and fonts

Rebrand the whole website in two clicks.

Colors

Open the Colors tab and pick a palette. Build recolors backgrounds, text, and buttons across every section at once, keeping everything readable.

Fonts

Open the Fonts tab and choose a pairing. The heading font and body font update everywhere, including new sections you add later.

Pages

Add as many pages as you need. Every page keeps your header and footer.

Add a page

1. Open the Pages tab or the page dropdown above the preview
2. Click Add Page and pick a template: About, Services, Contact, Blog and more
3. The new page appears in the dropdown, styled like your website

Put pages in your menu

Turn on visual edit, click a header link, set the type to "Page", and select your page. Works on desktop and the mobile menu.

Remove or rename

Manage pages from the Pages panel, then Save. Removing a blog page also removes the matching blog post.

Publishing your site

Publishing makes your website visible to the world. Until then only you can see it.

How publishing works

Click Publish and your website goes live instantly on your public link and on your custom domain if one is connected. Click Unpublish any time to take it offline, your content stays safe.

Before you publish, check

• Site Settings filled: title, description, favicon
• Contact details correct: phone, email, address
• Header links go to the right places
• Preview on mobile with the phone icon in the top bar

Share link

Show your website to anyone before or after connecting a domain.

Get your link

Click Share in the top bar. Copy the link, open the live demo, or post directly to social media. If you have a connected paid domain, Build shares your real domain automatically instead of the preview link.

Who can see it

Anyone with the link can view the published website. Unpublished websites show as offline.

Site settings and SEO

Control how your website appears in browser tabs and on Google.

The three essentials

• Site title: your business name, shows in the browser tab and search results
• Description: one or two sentences Google shows under your title
• Favicon: the small icon in the browser tab, upload any image and Build converts it

Extra SEO power

Publish blog articles regularly (see the Blogs guide), and Build generates a sitemap for your custom domain automatically so Google finds all your pages.

Buying a domain

The fastest way to get online with your own .com. Build handles everything.

One click, fully automatic

1. Open the Domains tab, Build suggests an available .com for your business
2. Click Get Domain and pay securely
3. Build registers it, configures DNS, connects it to this website, and enables HTTPS, usually within minutes

Renewal

The domain renews automatically every year on the same card so your website never goes down. You can see the renewal date in Settings, Domains.

Connecting your domain

Already own a domain at GoDaddy, Namecheap, or anywhere else? Connect it in three steps.

Step 1, save your domain

In the Domains tab, type your domain without https and click Save domain.

Step 2, add the DNS records

Log in at your domain provider, open DNS management, and add the records exactly as shown in your Domains tab (use the Copy buttons).

Step 3, verify

Click Verify DNS. DNS changes take minutes to a few hours, sometimes up to 24. Once verified, your website serves from your domain with HTTPS automatically.

Blogs

Articles bring free Google visitors. Build writes them for you in your brand voice.

Create an article

1. Open the Blogs tab and describe the article, or click a preset
2. Attach your own photos with the + button, the first becomes the featured image
3. Build writes a complete optimized article with headings, FAQ, and a call to action

Publish it

Click Publish on the post. It becomes a real page of your website, with your header and footer, listed in Site Pages, and live on your domain.

Why it matters

Each article is a new door from Google into your business. One or two per week compounds into steady free traffic.

Inbox

Every message from your website's contact forms lands here.

How it works

When a visitor submits a form on your published website, the message appears in the Inbox tab with their name and details. No email setup required.

If messages are missing

• Make sure the website is Published
• Test the form on your live link, not inside the editor preview
• Click Refresh in the Inbox

AI Chatbot

A trained assistant that answers your visitors 24 hours a day.

Set it up

1. Open the Chatbot tab and write everything the bot should know: services, prices, hours, policies
2. Match the colors to your brand
3. Click Save, then Train, the bot appears on your published website

Write good training text

Explain your business like onboarding a new employee: what you sell, what it costs, how booking works, and the questions customers ask most. The more it knows, the better it answers.

Analytics

Know your visitors without installing anything.

What you see

• Visitors over time
• Most viewed pages
• Clicks on buttons and links

Tracking starts automatically the moment your website is published. Check it weekly to learn which services people care about most.

Plans and billing

Everything about your subscription lives in Settings, Plans and Billings.

Change plan or credits

Open Pricing, pick a plan and credit package, monthly or yearly. Existing subscribers are prorated, you only pay the difference immediately, no double charges.

Invoices

Settings, Invoices lists every payment with a View link to the official invoice for your bookkeeping.

If a payment fails or you cancel

Your account returns to the free plan. Your websites stay saved in your account, but they go offline on custom domains until the subscription is active again.

Fast fixes for the most common issues.

Changes are not saving

Click the Save button in the top bar after editing. If it fails, hard refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R and try again.

Domain shows an error

DNS can take up to 24 hours. Check the records in your Domains tab match your provider exactly, confirm the website is Published and your plan is active, then click Verify DNS.

AI stopped generating

You are likely out of credits. Check the counter in your account menu and top up from Pricing.
